1. Overview
This policy explains the cookies, local storage, and similar technologies used on vowesta.com, in the Vowesta dashboard, and on wedding websites we host. It is issued by RentalTide Inc., doing business as Vowesta, and forms part of our Privacy Policy.
In short: we use a small number of essential items to keep you signed in and remember your settings, one analytics tool that sets cookies (Google Analytics, with IP anonymization), one that does not (Plausible), and Stripe's fraud-prevention cookies during checkout. We use no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, and no third-party ad networks.
2. Your Analytics Choice
Analytics cookies are off by default if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, or if your device's time zone indicates you are in Europe or Quebec, where the law requires opt-in consent. Everywhere else they are on by default. You can change your choice here at any time; the setting is saved in your browser and applies to this device.

3. Essential Storage
These items are needed for the Platform to work and are used on the basis of our contract with you. They cannot be turned off without breaking sign-in or basic features.

Google Analytics only runs when your analytics choice is on. Google's use of this data is described in its partner sites policy. You can also install Google's browser opt-out add-on.
5. Third-Party Cookies
- Stripe (
__stripe_mid, 1 year;__stripe_sid, 30 minutes). Set when a payment form is shown, to detect fraud and remember the checkout session. These are necessary to process payments securely. - Amazon CloudFront. Our content delivery network does not set cookies on vowesta.com or wedding websites.
- Google Fonts. Some wedding website themes load fonts from Google, which receives your IP address and browser details but sets no cookies. The vowesta.com site and dashboard use self-hosted fonts.
- Mapbox. Address autocomplete in the dashboard sends the text you type to Mapbox and sets no cookies.
6. Wedding Websites
Wedding websites hosted on vowesta.com subdomains or custom domains use only the essential items above plus, when a Guest opens a gift, registry, or raffle checkout, the Stripe cookies. A password-protected wedding website stores an unlock marker in the Guest's browser local storage so they are not asked for the password again on that device. Wedding websites do not run Google Analytics.
7. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
- Browser settings. Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies and site data. Blocking essential storage will sign you out and may stop the dashboard from working.
- Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. We treat either signal as an opt-out of analytics cookies. Global Privacy Control is recognized as a legal opt-out under several US state laws.
- Clearing data. Clearing your browser's site data for vowesta.com removes every item listed on this page.
8. Changes
We update this page whenever we add, remove, or change a cookie or storage item. The "Last updated" date shows the current version.
