Example: a guest gives $100 toward your honeymoon. About $2.50 covers card processing, $2.50 goes to Vowesta, and $95 is paid to you. The guest is charged $100.

Is Vowesta really free?
Yes. Every planning feature is free with no premium tier, no trial period and no ads. Vowesta earns a 2.5% fee only when a guest sends money through your site, and small one-time charges for optional extras such as registering a new domain or a larger Kept film.
Why is it free?
Several people on the WayPoint Labs team were getting married and found the alternatives ad-heavy, tiered and keen on guest data. The infrastructure already existed for other businesses, so a free wedding platform cost little to add. Transaction fees cover the running costs.
What is the 2.5% fee, exactly?
When a guest gives a cash gift, contributes to a registry fund or buys a raffle ticket, 2.5% goes to Vowesta and roughly 2.5% goes to card processing. Both come out of the amount before it is paid to the couple. A $100 gift pays out about $95. The guest is never charged more than the amount they chose.
Do guests pay anything?
No. Visiting the site, RSVPing, viewing the registry and shooting on Kept are all free for guests. If they choose to give money, they pay exactly the amount they choose.
Is there a catch with the free website?
No. The site has no Vowesta advertising, no upgrade banners and no watermark. It stays online for at least 12 months after the wedding date, longer if you keep the account active.
How do I pay for a custom domain?
Search and register a domain in the dashboard under Billing & domains. You pay the registrar's yearly price by card and it renews automatically with a reminder email beforehand. If you already own a domain, connecting it costs nothing.
Can I tip or support Vowesta?
Yes, and thank you. There is a tip page for couples who want to help cover hosting. It is entirely optional and never prompted inside the product.
