For Ottawa wedding vendors

Everything a Wedding Vendor Needs. Nothing to Pay.

A website, a calendar, invoicing and a client list, free. Couples spread your contract into weekly payments, you keep your full price and get paid on the cadence you choose, and 3% comes back to you. We are starting in Ottawa.

Ottawa first

One City, Done Properly

We are building Vowesta out of Ottawa, so Ottawa is where we are starting. That is not a marketing region. It means we can sit in your venue, learn what actually breaks on a Saturday, and fix it the week you tell us.

Vendors from Kanata to Rockland to the Gatineau side are all in scope. If you are outside the valley and you want in anyway, sign up and say so. We will take you, we just will not pretend you are our focus yet.

A directory for couples to browse comes once there are enough of you in one place for it to be worth browsing. Building it on an empty list would waste your time and ours.

The toolkit

Free Whether or Not We Ever Send You a Booking

This is the part that does not depend on us being big. Every one of these is live today and costs nothing.

  • A website on your own address

A real one-page site at yourname.vowesta.com, built from a short form. No ads, no Vowesta banner, no watermark. Connect a domain you already own for nothing.

  • One calendar, not three

Mark the dates you are away or already booked. Anything booked through Vowesta lands on it by itself, so the calendar you check is the calendar that is right.

  • Invoices that number themselves

Bill for the extra hour, the overage, the deposit. Sequential numbering your bookkeeper will recognise, tax lines, and a payment link the couple can actually use.

  • Every couple in one list

Quotes, plans and invoices roll into a client record on their own. Nothing to keep in step by hand, so nothing goes stale.

  • Payouts on your cadence

Weekly, monthly or quarterly, whichever suits your books. Paid out of money already collected, so a couple falling behind delays a payout rather than putting you in the red.

  • 3% back on every plan

The couple pays a 6% plan fee for the convenience of paying over time. Half of it comes to you. It is not taken out of your price.

Why it is worth it

The Rebate Is Not the Point. The Yes Is.

A couple looking at a five-figure number and a deposit due this month is a couple who books the cheaper package, trims the guest list, or puts the whole thing off a year. You do not usually hear about that decision; you just see a quote go quiet.

Spread the same contract across weekly payments and it becomes a number they can hold in their head against a grocery bill. That is what moves a maybe to a yes, and it is what moves a yes from your middle package to your full one.

The 3% is a thank-you for taking the plan. The booking you would not otherwise have taken is the actual return.

We are not going to put a conversion number next to that sentence. We have not run Vowesta long enough to have an honest one, and a made-up figure is worth less to you than the argument.

The money

On a $12,000 Booking

Collected in full by bank debit. Your price does not change; the plan fee sits on top and the couple agrees to it before they sign.

The couple pays 6%. Half of it comes to you.
Your contract price$12,000.00
Plan fee charged to the couple, 6%$720.00
What the couple pays in total$12,720.00
Released to you$12,000.00
Rebate to you, 3%$360.00
Total to you$12,360.00

The rebate is earned on payments collected by bank debit. Card costs roughly 3% to accept, which is the entire platform share of the fee, so card volume earns no rebate and we would rather tell you that than quietly pay you less. We hold 10% back until seven days after the wedding.

How it works

Four Steps, and None of Them Change Your Prices

  1. 01

    You send a quote

Line by line, in the portal. Your prices, your terms, your cancellation policy. The couple sees the weekly number and the total together, never one without the other.

  2. 02

    The couple accepts

They authorise one bank debit. Every payment is scheduled to land before your date, so you are never asked to work ahead of being paid in full.

  3. 03

    We collect and chase

Weekly, fortnightly or monthly. If a payment fails we retry it, email them, and tell you if it goes to arrears. You are not the one sending the awkward reminder.

  4. 04

    You get paid

On your cadence, out of cleared funds, with 3% back on bank-debit volume. We hold 10% until a week after the wedding, and that is the only money that waits.

Straight answers

What Is the Catch

Every vendor asks within five minutes. Here it is before you have to.

Is there an application, or a wait?

Neither. You fill in a short form, enter the code we email you, and the portal is open. There is nobody to approve you and nothing sitting in a queue. Stripe verifies your identity later, when you connect a payout account, and that is the only check there is.

What does it cost me?

Nothing. No joining fee, no monthly fee, no listing fee, no charge for a lead. The website, calendar, invoices and client list are free whether or not you ever take a booking through us. The only money that moves is the 6% plan fee, and the couple pays that, not you.

How many couples are on Vowesta in Ottawa?

Not many yet, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. We launched recently and Ottawa is our first city. That is exactly why the toolkit is free and why there is no lead fee: we have not earned a placement fee, so we are not charging one. Join because the tools are worth having on their own, and treat any booking that comes through as upside.

Do I have to change my prices?

No, and you are not allowed to. The agreement says you cannot charge a couple more for paying by plan than you would charge them otherwise. You set your prices; we do not touch them.

Do you take a cut of my contract?

No. You receive your full contract amount. The 6% is charged to the couple on top, for the service of spreading it, and half of that comes back to you as a rebate on bank-debit volume.

What happens if a couple stops paying?

You are never paid money that has not been collected, so a couple falling behind delays your payout rather than creating a debt. We retry the payment, email them, and tell you when a plan goes into arrears. What happens to the booking is between you and them, under your own contract.

Is this a loan? Are you lending to my clients?

No. Nobody borrows anything and there is no credit check, no interest and no debt reported anywhere. Every plan is scheduled to finish collecting at least 14 days before your date, so the couple has paid in full before you perform. That is prepayment, not credit, and the software refuses to build a plan that breaks the rule.

Why would a couple pay 6% for this?

Because the alternative is usually a credit card at over 20%, or not booking you at all this year. Spreading a $12,000 venue over weekly payments is what turns a maybe into a yes, which is the part that is worth something to you.

Who holds the money before it reaches me?

It sits with our payment processor, and you appoint us as your collection agent in the agreement, which means a couple paying us has legally paid you. We do not pay interest on it and we do not lend it out.

Can I leave?

On 30 days' notice, any time. Plans already running keep collecting and paying out until they finish, because a couple mid-way through a schedule should not be stranded. Your client list and your invoices export to CSV.

Do you sell my data or my couples' data?

No. We do not sell data, we do not run ads, and we do not market competing vendors to a couple you referred. That is written into the agreement rather than just a promise on a page.

No application and nothing to wait for. Fill this in, enter the code we email you, and the portal is open. It takes about a minute.

Already have an account? Sign in.

Creating an account does not commit you to anything. You accept the partner agreement inside the portal, before you can take a payment.

Free to join. Free to leave.

Thirty days' notice, your data exports to CSV, and any plan already running keeps paying out until it finishes. We would rather earn the next year than lock you into it.
